Ford executives in the US have all but confirmed the next Falcon will be based on the US-designed Taurus and will be front-wheel-drive instead of the rear-drive layout that has served the Falcon for more than 50 years and was once seen as a crucial part of its DNA.

Yeah, heard that one, but they need a rear drive platform for the Mustang & they will probably use the Falcon one for that. So that may save the Falcon in its present drive here.

.....and so the circle is unbroken.The Falcon and Mustang started out as the same car and will again (hopefully)become basically the same car..
Hell I hope so.
There's a fair bit of negative talk about the future of the Falcon.
I sold my beloved BF GT today and I'm hoping there'll be another new GT to buy some where down the track.
