MAF sensor

Ok tech wizards.

I think my MAF is stuffed, I have 12v and 2 grounds, so all good. When I run the car I have 0 volts at idle and no or little change at wide open. It did go to .03 at wide open but that is the max.
Also I ran the car with the MAF disconnected and it ran the same. It is very rich and the gearbox is sluggish.
So I think the MAF is stuffed and sending the long term fuel trim up and up until it’s gone into limp mode.
Any help would be appreciated and is there any way to test the hot wire in the MAF.

What ECU, EEC4 or 5? Any error messages?

I got a scan tool coming, I’ll see what errors if any come up.

I'd say the sensor is stuffed.
It should be a 0-5v signal out of the MAF. You should see somewhere around 1V at idle out of the signal wire I would have thought.

That was my thoughts, is thee a way of testing the hot wire, I can’t find any static test for a MAF.

There's no way to really test the hot wire that I know of.
But if you have tested both grounds and you have 12v into it with the ignition on, it should just work.
