Wiring a replacement switch into the hazard/emergency switch

Post by Edz66Vert »

My Hazard/Emergency Switch is missing all the insides so I have to replace it. Unfortunately, mine is the switch with an attached harness and costs $192. I'd like to replace this with a normal $5 switch if possible.

There's only 4 wires, 1 wire is obvious as it feeds power in from the flash can but the wiring diagram I have doesn't show what the rest do.

Has anyone got an idea what the wires do before I start prodding around and try to work them out? It connects back to that tricky indicator switch and I don't want to short it out and let the smoke out of my indicator switch.
