NSW Mustanger's may find this worth a look

Post by Bosskraft »

G'day all,

Thought it may be of interest to NSW Mustanger's. I was directed to it by an 'interested party', to update the thread with the correct info, but it raises an interesting point that there are some examiner's out there, who are responsible for examining vehicles in NSW for rego, who have no idea how to interpret the rules and regulations and are wrongly knocking cars back, thus requiring undue work be carried out on vehicles before they'll pass them, which is costly and not required.

Sean, I think NSW is alright now. All the idiot inspectors moved to the ACT!

There are also some confusions in the west. More the northern suburbs though.

Interesting thread Sean. Did you see the other one over there regarding RHD conversions & the new engineering requirements?

Na, haven't seen that one Steve. I'll chat with my engineer though.

Thank you for clarifying that, Sean. I didn't bother to check back on the thread after my last post.

Thank you.

"Isn't that the wrong way?"

"Yeah, but faster!"

No worries, Ash. I wasn't going to sit back and watch a newly appointed blue slip examiner (who clearly doesn't know what he should) and current MOCA VP, spin everyone the incorrect info. For people that can't do mods like changing indicator colour and location on their own vehicles, that misleading info could be really costly to them. They should make these examiners pass detailed exams before sticking their certifications in corn flake packets for all !
