Re: 70 Mach 1 - Slowly
Well finally as my work with COVID is finally looking like it is coming to the end I have actually had time to start doing some work on my project Mach1. Being on call and working almost every day for 2 years doesnt exactly motivate you to sweating in the shed. I have stripped the inner guards both ...

Cowl Replacement Question
Hey guys So you may recall I am restoring a 70 Mach 1. Well COVID has not been kind for me with time. Working longer hours and on call weekends so the past 16 months have been basically crap for trying to get anything done. However finally got the engine out and cowl out and got the new cowl ready t...

Re: transmission options
Just let me know if you need it. It’s a big heavy shed space taker upper.
No idea what its worth and given I have no idea if its good bad or average - we will err on the low price side.

Re: transmission options
Let me know if you need an FMX. I have mine sitting in the shed still.
Was planning on selling it eventually as I have gone manual. No idea on condition. Was working when removed a couple of years ago.

Re: 70 Mach 1 - Slowly
Vermillion Fire is the equivalent used on the XY Falcons. Each manufacturer used the same colours around the world, just different names and local suppliers. That is why similar colours but slightly different tinting. Thanks Kerry. I assumed it was close but never seen Calypso Coral (Mercury Compet...

Re: Edz 66 Convertible
I haven’t bought ICE yet but I need a factory sized and height dis to fit with a shaker on the the Cleveland. Emailed and got a message to ring Mick and talk it through. He said, no dramas can make to whatever height you want or can but new shaft and internals in the old auto lite dis and have facto...

Re: 70 Mach 1 - Slowly
Progressing along on the rear quarters. Damn welder has been giving me curry. First a line feed problem, now no gas. One minute in was working the next zip. Plenty of gas. Changed regulators with the TIG, blew out the lead....spewing. I lost my mind trying to make the section in front of the rear wh...

Re: transmission lines
I would have sworn I posted to say I have a FMX set for a 69/70 here. New never installed steel lines. Gone manual rather than stayed with auto.

Re: 70 Mach 1 - Slowly
Fortunately my work is not affected by COVID19 and in fact working longer hours so dont have much time to work on the car uninterrupted. Plus a bit sick of the dirty work and feeling the need to assemble some more shiny stuff then wrap them up and put them away. I know the 69-70 rear floor section h...

https://i.postimg.cc/8PJfX8Wt/4085-FB03-7-EB5-42-D3-AC67-AC09093-CE891.jpg My 70 Mach 1 came with a 69 rear quarter extension on the LH side. Stupidly (because I know that non OEM stuff doesn’t fit well) I bought a new 70 extension. Surprise - it doesn’t match the quarter panel line well at all. So...

Re: 70 Mach 1 - Slowly
Tell us more about the taillight conversion. It’s a Scott Drake thing....box is in the bin but essentially it is some light gauge stainless bracket that is held in by the two middle lens screws (under the main seal) which sort of rough divides up behind the three sections of the bezel. There is a s...

Re: 70 Mach 1 - Slowly
What do you when you are hung over and its stinking hot.....put a few things together in the lounge room watching BBL in the AC. A nice new Mach 1 pop open fuel cap and the triple bulb conversion for the tail lights. That was more than enough for the day! https://i.postimg.cc/43qttQCQ/8-DC3-D378-92-...
