Re: 66 Mustang front rotor diameter

Re: 66 Mustang front rotor diameter

Originally, disc brake cars didn't have a booster. They had a hard pedal but the 4 piston calipers pulls the car up fine. Your existing brakes may be absolutely fine for your use. Why not replace the rotors with the same ones or get them machined and replace the pads. Is it just originality you seek...

Re: 66 Mustang front rotor diameter

Hi Craig, they are definitely not standard Mustang Kelsey Hayes brakes. although its difficult to tell exactly because the wheel hides the mounting bracket but they appear to be PBR Falcon or Holden brake calipers. If Falcon, they will have Falcon or later spindles that may alter the steering geomet...

Re: 66 Mustang front rotor diameter

287mm they should be. However, what calipers are fitted. Maybe you have non standard brakes?? Can you post a pic of your brakes to give us a better idea? Cheers Darryl

Not my intention to build a Trans Am type car but when I install the Export brace I find I can flex the shock towers and brace.
I saw similiar braces on Howard Astill's 66 mustang and decided to do a removable version, Howards were solid welded.
