Re: 71’ F100 Bumpside

Here he is. I was hoping you were going to chime in. It has been a a while Kerry. Hope you are doing OK mate. That all sounds way too much money for this thing and glued back together 😳 I will give you a call for a chat mate. Overdue for a visit also, I reckon Hybrid, Soc, GBX would be keen also if ...

Re: 71’ F100 Bumpside

Not sure yet Dwayne. Below is sort of where I am at. More mechanically great, body not overly fussed as it is a truck and don’t want to stress over it like the mustang, nice comfortable interior. Definitely IFS, Superformance do an IFS that is Australian engineered. Not sure on the rear yet These th...

Re: 71’ F100 Bumpside

Yeah easy but expensive is my concern. Been there with the mustang, so just trying to determine the level of effort and funds to get this done. There are no real aftermarket rust repair sections so things like the bottom of the rear sections behind the wheel arches will need to be cut and worked to ...

Re: 71’ F100 Bumpside

Brought it down from Cairns and it definitely was a backyard build so on close inspection it will need to come apart and effectively be rebuilt. Should be fun. Once thing I want to do is change the tray to a tub. Which I have found over the last few months is like looking for unicorn shit. It will n...

71’ F100 Bumpside

Been a long time boys but I have a new toy. It is not a mustang but a F100 1971 Bumpside. It is the other car/truck I have always wanted so I thought the time was right to have a play. https://i.postimg.cc/fbfdTXnZ/20023-FD0-6450-47-DD-A577-4-D883-A8-F3-D21.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/PxdmmyzP/2-E4-A02...

Re: Exhaust choices...

Didn’t Boof do a write up on this? He had some very strong opinions on this subject the legend. Mungus, I have a 347 NA making 480hp, full of parts all worked out with Boofhead. I ended up going with modified pacemaker headers, 2 1/2” stainless with Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers in centre section. I ...

Re: Project Brandy

Next was the new tank. Very nice piece of kit. The metal was very soft but so was the original one once we checked. You have to do some slight modification to the fuel sender as it is obviously a sender that fits multiple depth tanks. Hybrid took care of this but it is pretty easy and the instructio...

Re: Project Brandy

Yep Dwayne, we looked at that option. If it was a quick and easy option we would have done it but you would have to pick every wire from the two connectors and then re install then in the bulkhead connector. From memory there was 29 wires in one connector and 18 in another so it was high 40’s. You c...
