Re: Sealant / adhesive recommendations

The Wurth stuff I gave hybrid is the sound deadener that also serves as as a guard against stone impacts. It was what I used on all my builds in the USA and Australia as it gave a close texture and finish as what Ford used. The Wurth product is also water based. Goes in a special gun but can be empt...

Re: Rusty 66 Coupe

Another idea is to put the dry cell battery in the torque box, moves the weight back and gives even more space in the engine bay.

Access is via a removable foot plate on the floor on the passenger side, so does not matter if right or left hand drive.

Re: Rusty 66 Coupe

I see you fitted the standard Rhf inner panel with the batter space. I see a lot of people mirror the left panel to the right. I think differently as that makes less space in the engine bay. What I have done is mirror that battery space to the left as it can be used for cold air box, or anything bul...

Re: Finally - the Bullitt begins! :-)

Hey, a bit late, but I guess better than never, but the corners of the drip rail support were about 2/3rds the width of the straighter sections.

The corners have no impact on keeping the mouldings in place.

Re: Mile stone (for me anyway)

The early days (60's to mid 70's) it would have been building and servicing rally & race cars. We had some quick ones and some well known drivers. October was always the big month with Bathurst followed mid week by the Southern Cross Rally. I first went to Japan because of our success in the Sou...

Re: Mile stone (for me anyway)

I had forgotten I have a thread on this subject.

I should have posted last December as that would have been 55 years in the trade. Then again, now I only do small stuff that will not kill the back lifting it. Another advantage is the turnover in small work is fast.

Re: Request for help - 68 Fastback rain drip rail corner profile

The moulding was never snapped on in the corners. They are narrower in that area, only just had enough width to hold the corner in place.
