Looks like you have first gen unit there with the split valute..supposed to have more cfm than the next few gens.. also has ehat looks like the race impeller not the street...unless its been changed.. not sure you can get parts for the first gen though, they special seals or something .. although im sure places like gcg can help with anything if cant be sourced from usa. Good blokes there. Good stuff mate! cant wait to see and hear it.. Very Happy im hooked on the SC sound.

I know a guy..not much to look at but has some handy skills cutting angles in tubes. Very Happy I have a contact for cheap alloy tubing if you need..cast, mandrel etc.

yeah I believe it is the first gen. I have found a few threads in the states where guys have given part numbers to off the shelf seals that fit the novi, so I might buy a few and see how they go.

If I need anything made up i will definately ask you....thanks for the offer mate

I know the early ones are prone to blowing the seals in any case from a Back fire. I thought some had a ceramic seal?

Yeah not sure on that. I know you can get full rebuild kits for gen 1 and 2 novi's from places in the states like JB Performance. But I have a few part numbers I was sent in regards to off the shelf seals/bearings that fit(without the huge markup because it's sold by Paxton), so I will try them first. Everything looks in good nick, but last thing I want to do is put everything on and realise a seal is leaking, then take it off again.

One of the Brisbane club guys has on similar engine to yours but with a carb and he had to rebuild the blower like 3 times due to back fires, though you may not have that issue with injection as long as you get the tune right I guess, he ended up with blow off valve.

I will be running a bypass valve only as the boost will be pretty low. I doubt I'll have any intake backfires

Backfire should push the bypass valve open before it would blow seals out anyway.
They really all should run bypass valves. I don't know why you wouldn't.
