I have never been happy with my front suspension really. Something just didn't feel right and it was quite hard, a bit of knocking here and there but I have just lived with it and played around with the adjustable shocks a little etc. Well check out these stock TCP shock bushes. Car has done 1400mls.

I was having that problem with repo rubber parts a few years ago. It seem that they begin to break up just after you open the packaging.

Yep, you will notice there is only 7 as one of them as one crumbled is my suspension guy's hand, they are urethane though. He swapped them out with SuperPro ones and the ride is so much better. The best it has been since I got it on the road so I am over the moon. Big smile driving it home as I knew it was supposed to feel better than it had been. Now I need to work on my steering as that just doesn't feel right either so some research is needed. My suspensin guy also spoke to me about that as he tightened it up by it is still pretty vague and has some play in it that stops you from correcting quickly.

We can set it up when it is here. By what you describe, both the castor and to angles are not right.

As for the shocks, those bushes will fail again, those Vari Shocks are useless in a Mustang suspension. Bilstein's or Koni's are what you need. Bilstein's have a mono ball each end, so put up with the variations of the Mustang based suspension.

Yep but for now it is chalk and cheese so I am currently happy. Once I get the alignment specs I will post them as the car rides true and does not pull, it's just the steering has a dead spot or "play" as I call it so if you hit it hard and she takes off, due to the "play" when you turn the wheel ever so slightly for little corrections nothing happens so you naturally turn harder and it does not feel good.

It has some play in it so if you heading straight and want to do a small correction it doesn't engage, you can turn the wheel a little and nothing happens and it is extremely light. Both ways are the same. You can literally turn the wheel back and forth a little each way and the car stays straight. It is only small but enough to be noticeable and not give you the correct steering feel.

So if you have your hand at 12 o clock could you move to 11 then 1 with no effect....? It's a rack isn't it...?

Yes, that type of thing but a literal turn to 11 and 1 will engage, it is a smaller movement than that. Yes it is a rack.
