Ronin hey buddy was checking out the project page to get some inspiration for my own ride and low and behold i find an earlier version of Ronin's beast.

Keep the pics coming. I might even start recording my 65's journey thus far.

PS I took the corty down to Harry cafe de wheels a couple of weeks ago great buzz. Hundreds of cool rides looked liked fast and furious sans the French kissing babes.

Is this the Borgche I know?

If so it will be nice to get the project going again ...... Poke

Underside of the cowl area. Not too bad, a little surface rust, but a hit with wire brush and spray pack cleaned it up nicely

Behind front guards, once again relatively free of the ol' Spanish dancer, just a HEAP of desert dust fell out.

Got the old heater and AC assembly out. I've never been anally fisted before, but, I'd imagine the pain I went through to get this out would be similar.

Would this be of any use to anyone? I want to put a Vintage AC unit in, so don't really want to hang on to this.

Bought one of these

And took all of this

and made it into this

And crammed it all into here

Its a pretty easy job to do really. A guy from "another" forum did me a solid and lent me his AAW crimpers. If you ever consider this upgrade / install, those things are a must. I spent about a gorilla on other crimpers trying to get a pair that would work, but nothing even comes close.

For quite awhile I've been toying with the idea of ordering in a TMI one piece headliner. Mine was torn and looked like a bucket of busted arseholes. so after ordering a Borgeson intergral power steering box from CJpony parts and getting a $90 gift voucher, I bit the bullet and bought one.

Ordered it last Sunday, and got woken out of my Friday morning hangover by the DHL dude with this

Luckily I managed to get a break in the rain yesterday and roll the car out to pull the old headliner. Stoked to find this

and this

not so stoked to nearly swallow a mouthful of rat shit. So word to the wise, when removing headliners, keep your word hole shut, cause you never know what's going to fall into it.

Luckily the two mates I had helping me, provided no help at all and laughed till pee came out.

I forgot to track so much of the work I did on my car.
I rebuilt my gearbox twice when I had a camera available to do timelapse and forgot both times.

Great progress though. The headliner looks great.

Yeah, real easy to install to. I'd fully recommend the
To anyone thinking about swapping a headliner out. They look sharp, you get more head room and you can get em in all the factory colours.

I think I lost a heap of pics when my old iphone shat the bed, so I'll try to link everything in with new ones.
