Spent a couple of hours cleaning up the Wieand manifold and Holley 570 Avenger that I bought 2nd hand recently.
The previous owner was a little heavy handed with the gasket goo which took a while to remove without taking chunks out of the alloy.
Overall very happy with this setup - took a quick pic ( yes I know it's on backwards) missus was calling me to dinner Embarrassed

Cheers

John

Looks sweet. Good work.

I will someday think of something clever to say.

I have the same set up brand new that I need to sell. You will be happy with that combo John.

If you want it to stay like that spray it with some POR 15 Glisten, Its a metal clear good for, 180* . Put 1" spacer under the carb well.

Still enough room under the stock bonnet with the 1" spacer Shaun?
I was hoping to come and see you in a month or so if those heads etc would be ready...
Let me know if that timeframe suits .

Cheers

John

Is that set up any good for a 347 stroker, if so I might be interested in it.

570 is not a bad size for a 347... but depends what components are in the engine.

Mate you can have them anytime just a matter if you want the porting finished, cam is good to go, also found a set of 1.7 comp-cams magnum roller tip rockers as well if you want them, they haven't done much work. They will wake it up. Give us a call, Flat out last week getting an XY faker in hi build, and a trip to Lismore to look at a Mk9 Jag for a customer, that he wants to buy needs some paint and engine rebuild. Trying to get everything out the way, so Gold code's fast back can fit in the shed in the next week or so. May have some CDI ignitions, think there is an Accel 300+, Crane hi 6 & Mallory etc here as well, maybe a good Mallory dissy.
