Not bagging Vodafone, but I had to go to another provider as the coverage around my area was so poor. This was a shame as I did like their plan.
Just something to keep in mind for those of us who live on the fringe.

Canberra has coverage issues too, we just moved my entire department back over to Telstra due to coverage issues within the territory and down the highway. I'm think if you need the reliability then telstra may be the answer especially if your car is taken and moved to the outer suburbs to be pillaged and rapped.
My 2cents worth..

Cheers.

Virgin uses Optus network... which is crap in my opinion. We use it for work.

I was with Vodaphone many years ago and was pretty happy with them, but I was mostly in the metro.
You don't need much service for SMS to work though. SMS will generally still work when you don't have enough service for a stable phonecall.

Ok, the postage will be AU$15 per device.
So:
(USD$88) $96 + $15 = $111 to get them to Aus
So if we make it $120 total, that should be enough for me to post to your door.
Right now, USD$88 is converting to 94.1266 AUD so I have allowed a couple of bucks leeway at $96
Is everyone happy with that?

(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
Amen.

Laughing

I thought about paypal, but I might have to use that to pay the supplier, so by the time paypal stings us twice, I might be a chunk out of pocket!

The unit comes with a Quad band radio, so it should work anywhere.
Quad Band GSM 850/900/1800/1900Mhz

www.accesscomms.com.au...mobnet.htm

3G is not required as we're only using SMS
