When I purchased this car locally in Kwinana about 7 years or so ago the car still had all matching VIN and front bucktag identifying it as a Mach 1. Someone had the cars original 351w 2V and toploader removed and replaced with a 351C and C6 auto which set the base for a non-concourse rebuild or restomod which, and knowing myself, was exactly what I wanted.
The challenge was to build this car to not only just do 10 seconds but to do it with race track handling, drag track handling and with comfort. This has, and still is proving to be Γ’β‚¬Λœone hell of a challengeÒ€ℒ. Through many mistakes, mind changes, job losses(GFC), depression.... I have pushed myself far beyond what I ever expected. This really has been a long project filled with lots of smiles and frowns along the way! I donÒ€ℒt expect it to be finished until late 2015. Although recently, the project has gathered momentum and the excitement is following...
I have run this build on 2 forums since its beginning but on putting it on here I have organised and commented to the best of my memory on the pics over the last 6 years. There have been small and large changes over the build as well so I havenÒ€ℒt included some of the old pics from the other forums.
So without rambling on anymore hereÒ€ℒs the build so far:

Motor- 460ci windsor stroker small block(World man-o-war short motor) with Yates SVO C3 heads(720hp+). FAST fuel injection system, Edelbrock manifold, Jesel valve train, Comp cam, Concept One serpentine pulley system, Meziere electric H20 pump, TCI Rattler balancer, Canton aluminum sump, MSD 7AL digital ignition, FAST dual sinc dizzy, Danny bee external timing belt...

Trans- TKO-600 blueprinted, strengthened and girdled with MGW short-throw shifter, Quicktime steel bellhousing, Mcleods street twin clutch and aluminium flywheel, PST 3.5in carbon fibre tailshaft.

Differential- Competition Engineering chromoly sheet metal 9inch housing, Strange nodular-iron centre with Truetrac, Moser 31spline billet axles and 4:11 gears.

Suspension- RRS power steering rack and pinion, RRS coilover on the front with 345mm discs(P275x18x9 wheels) and RRS threelink coilover system on the rear with 315mm discs(P335x18x11wheels). RRS underdash master cylinder and hydraulic clutch unit.

Interior- JME dash with Autometer guages, Scat elite seats and the rest is black Mach 1 interior. Powered windows and locks. Cool air products aircon/heating system. Aeromotive fuel cell with A1000 Aeromotive fuel pump kit bla bla bla...
Body- is currently being panelled and painted and is going to be Porshe Red, black Mach 1 markings with bugcatcher and rear spoiler.
Carbon fibre: front guards, spoiler, rear 1/4 panel ext, mirrors and bootlid.
Fibreglass: panel behind front bumper, front apron and hood.
High temp urethane headlight buckets.

Before I took her off the road!

Hole city!!

This was the first stage completed.

Great looking job you've done there...

Nice to see another local project on the go.

The new rear cross member went in because of a very large scar in the old one. She had taken a hit on the passenger side and someone had replaced the entire quarter guard, wheel well and all. I had the bump stops moved inside the chassis because of the mini-tubbing.

I had the c channel chassis rails boxed in so they could be a little stronger.

The new boot, quarters...

I have since had the cross bar changed to a bolt in type so the passengers can get in.

JME dash before mods.
