Haha u guys are soo funny..I only drove like a grandma cause my tune wasn't right and getting the kinks out. Much more confident with her now and since the valve body change has completely changed her. I love driving her hard and fast now. I'll have no tires at this rate.

Seriously anyone with an aod has to do this change!,

Yes and ive mentioned that a few times. Im enjoying this way too much that i may get myself into trouble against my better judgement! Bas wouldn't be happy if i posted dash cam footage of me smoking both his cars and i initiated it against my better judgement. The thing goes like a rocket when it hits that 3k mark and when boost does kick in.

Enjoying way too much.. wayyyyy too much and now the VB change.. holy crap. Thanks again jeff!!! I learnt heaps about a mystery area of my car and enjoyed our cruise together.

My project had purpose and mainly because of my motto that life is too short. Which is why i hate wasting time when it could be utilised more efficiently. Thats why im good at project management lol. We are all battling our demons in one form or another and this project was to distract me from mine. It (as well as my pup) helped me escape life's troubles and stay focused and now it's relatively complete I'm enjoying it on a different level.

I hope everyone with their projects finish them sooner than later and continues to tinker

good post and really pleased you are happy with how it is now going. What did the VB actually do to change the gearbox? Reschs would be even better do you think ;-)

What is involved Jeff, apart from the obvious buying an AOD?

-Shifts harder and later.
- Removes the "AOD shuffle" (look it up coz I'm on my phone and can't be arsed).
- TV cable is no longer sensitive to bad adjustment
- Provides a switch/solenoid to lock out the overdrive for around town, which is the best part in my opinion.

Actually they're all good really.
In a nutshell, it turns a box that was designed for fuel economy and comfort into a very good box - especially with other upgrades.

Georges is stock except for the silverfox valve body. The vb is all you need to wake it up.
If doing the vb, I would also put an A+ overdrive servo in it too. Didn't think about it for Georges one. Easy to do with valve body out.
The only other thing you can do without dismantling the box is a hardened inner input shaft, which is worth doing.

Because continually buying trans fluid and gaskets is kinda my thing. One day i might look into doing those too hybrid.
