Testing all good now. It's just the knock sensor I need to sort out and it's ready to go. I even found my old MS1 with a map daddy still attached to it, so I stole that one instead of having to take the car off the road to steal the Microsquirts one.

Also remembered I have to run a vacuum line into the car now Sad

Maybe on the weekend.. not sure yet. Working Saturday, so not sure if I will have any time.
I need to get a short harness from a mate who has a spare, and then adapt it to the existing harness in the car.

I've been making a spreadsheet with all the inputs/outputs I have made and which existing wires they should go to.

I assume your running the ignition signal wires under the board so we cannot see the Mosfit wiring from the proto area. In any case, good work. Should not be a problem if you adapt the old and new wiring harnesses correctly. I look forward to seeing a log when you next run the Qtr (with Cage?).

I will someday think of something clever to say.

Yeah I tried to do as much as possible on the bottom so it all looked neat when taking the lid off.

I did mention to Cage a possible December return to the strip, so hopefully it happens. Maybe we can talk George into it too Mr. Green

Both George and cage should break under 29 seconds easily (It is a 1/8th mile strip I assume? ) ........ Shocked

"Why are people so unkind" I hear ........ Embarrassed

I have the wrong rear gears for the strip. Would my rear tyres also hinder the result?

No more than my rear tyres hindered mine. At least yours are wide enough.
Your gearing isn't ideal, but you can have that sorted by December!

Besides.. it's always good to get a baseline so you have something to work on.

Awesome.. so mental note R40 turns the fuel pump on :D.. not wine and sexy music.

Ill come for a trip to the strip.. you guys have plenty of advantage over my little 302 id no doubt break my block and therefore hit 35sec time thanks kerry Very Happy i have no cash to redo my engine so ill enjoy grandma driving for a while.

Im going to try get to wagner over the weekend if i can for some electric bits for some new switches so if you need anything hybrid let me know.

Also ive just learnt about raspberry pie... ill leave that one here.. have you heard about it? A guy at work builds them for various uses.. including gps tracking..runs linux windows 10 and all sorts. nifty little thing and cheap

Yes I know about pi's. They're also used for hacking. Easy to hide on an unsuspecting network.
Was also close to building one to detect and hang up on telemarketers.

Not interested in using one in a car though if that's what you mean. Too many fancy electronics will end up being dated so quickly.

I have a PI here that I used for some experiments and to have a linux box once again (aka non virtual system).

Gbx you should go and give it a run. It should not hurt your baby and get a good log of the run. Sell a kidney if you do - she will be sweet.

Cage - yes you have the wrong gears so you will be slower though the trap speed should still be fairly close to at least give you an idea of potential. Any way, it does not take long to swap the crown and pinion. A weekend at Hybrids Poke .

I have read about those pi's a little while ago. they appear to be a cool device, reasonably priced if you know what to do with them- there is the rub.
