Hi Fellas,

looking to replace my old disc brakes, with some bigger front disc brakes, need to be ADR approved.

anyone can point me in the right direction, supply and fit?

sydney only please.

Other than the factory disks / callipers an engineers certificate would be required. Just keep that extra cost in the budget.

Agreed, anything not stock or an option on that model will require an engineers sign off.

Also, to complicate it. It also needs to be DOT approved or it cannot be used. The engineer should (but may not) pick that up as it would/should be on their check list. There are a number of common branded callipers that are not DOT approved that people use that cannot be legally used on a street car because they do not have DOT approval. In most cases they are simply missing rubber seals which are design to stop dirt from getting into / around the piston. Hence the issue is a higher possibility of them jamming up with dirt.

i've already got an engineers report for front disc brakes, it doesn't specify what type of brakes they are on the report, so i guess i can basically change them to any ADR approved brakes.

How much for slotted rotors?\

Eh? The engineers report does not specify what he is engineering and approving? On face value that appears very odd.

well it only states that they are disc brakes and are compliant, it is not specific with with size, brand model etc.
