yep its a factory replacement so the MSD has the female version (first pic) and in a typical scenario plugs straight into the factory harness (94-95 mustang) (male version, second pic)

its no buggy to chop the plug and replace it with something else .. however it'd be nice to (if cheaply available) to just use the correct plug thus leaving the MSD in its "out of the box form"

Seems a waste really considering you'll only be using 3 wires.

I agree only three wires are used or needed. The rest are actually extra grounds. Not sure why the factory have 5 ground wires (as one pin is not connected, one signal, one power and the five grounds). So I was thinking about using the extra wires as the grounds for the MS 2 (rather than an alternate block ground).

I will someday think of something clever to say.

im sure there are other places online (i couldnt find any myself by searching) but MSD tech support suggested this website for pigtails and connectors.. which is perfect cause they have the IDle air bypass and TPS connectors too which my local wreckers said they didnt have and if they did have it would be sold as part of a harness, which is fair enough...

seems cheap enough online anyway, waiting to hear if there is a ridiculous shipping quote or reasonable

well depending on how much shipping is .. if anyone wants a particular connector let me know and i can order everything at the same time to combine shipping.. ill touch base with the thread anyway with how much shipping is for a couple connectors etc..

Why don't you just go to the wreckers and cut them off and put them in your pocket. That's what I'd do, go buy door handle and get as many connectors as you need, the harnesses go to sims metal with the bodies for scrap.

haha id do that if i was in Brisbane still, cause the wreckers near where i used to live let me walk around . .they dont let you go walking around at the wreckers near me.. you're met with a counter and usually an unhelpful person that if it isnt a big well known part its not worth their hassle to assist..

it would appear the dizzy connector is very specific to the 94-95 mustang and as MSD tell me the early 90's pickup trucks aswell ..

by the time i go driving to find a wreckers that lets me walk around its not worth the effort for me specifically .. easier to have something delivered to my door.

Well get Boofhead to go to Boss or Capalaba and and get some. At boss they make most of the loot from the cat convertors, alloy and bodies as scrap, Bob has carp loads of loot, wrecking is just pocket change.

Most stuff / connectors sure no problem but that connector is not on any Aussie cars that I am aware of..
