Seats look nice...just wondering did you opt not to have the deluxe seat buttons on the rear seats?

4 of the 8 were badly pitted, so just fitted to the front seats rather than sourcing new ones..

Yeh I did the whole lot on mine and they were not cheap $15US each back when the AUS Dollar was 0.72US. Needed 8...ouch!!!

It's always the small details that you the builder will notice down the track!
You can always replace the buttons later.

I know what u mean but right now Ive got to concentrate on some other small details I will notice, like another windscreen, petrol tank etc.
Its all about priorities to get this baby back on the road again.

Noob progress.
Ive done as much as I can, with my limited knowledge, as far as paint preparation goes.
Time to hand her on to a proffesional now.
I have something lined up and currently waiting on a "bring her on down, ur next" type call.
Hoping thats going to be in the next month or so.

Found the paint prep a bit of a nightmare to be honest.
Lot of confusion with differing opinions on products and techniques.
I know why painters get the big bucks now ! Very Happy

Also been busy elsewhere.
Had my vent frames rechromed and fitted new seals and handles.
About half the price of repros and I get the warm and fuzzies knowing that they are original. Win/Win
Im chuffed with them.

Had my bolt and nuts treated and cadmium coated.
Came up nice.

Parts list is probaly about 90% complete now.
Some new arrivals this week.

Boxes of parts piling up all over the house. More in the garage !

Was trying to do this on a budget but now got to the stage of what the hell,
Im in too deep now. Smile

Can I say fellas as you prepare to do the door cards, take them out of the box and if the have a bow in them(mine sure did) suspend them so as to place a weight on them to take the bow out. Mine took 2 days for the drivers side and another 3 days with greater weight(6 pavers as oppossed to 4 for the drivers side) it makes life easy come fitting time. hope this helps.
Cheers,
Medic

Jacko

The vent frames were $160 for the pair to be rechromed at a local place called chromemasters at Salisbury.
Not bad seeing as they looked like this to start with.

The guy has earned his money !

Turnaround was a week.
The price was good but I enquired about getting the bumpers done and he wanted $500-600 each so I might go for repros there.
