hey, awesome build! I'm new to the forum but not to Mustangs. I built an E-car (not as nice as this one will be!). The side exit doesn't drone but you do get fumes a little. The mufflers mentioned in an earlier post were originally designed for the ARR Cuda, that is what I have used with sub-frame connectors.
I'm i the US, I drive mine a lot. The side exit exhaust has not been a problem. Great project, love the pics. Mine is a coupe and still wants to be a coupe! But I do think the conversion is great work. How did you manage the quarter panels? I know they are different shapes between the coupe and fastback.
Nice to see you found us.
I replied to a post of yours on the 2nd best mustang forum in OZ inviting you over , but i got bounced real fast.
Heres a link to a post here that talks about it. www.mustangtech.com.au...rt=30.html
See the last post on page 3.
Hi Craig , good to see you here! What is the name/brand of your red. Nice shade of red , that one!
edit: Ahh crap! Sorry for another thread hijack guys!!
(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
thanks guys, I'll start a post on my 67 so as not to take away from Hellanor. I just wanted to comment on the exhaust since I had experience. I found the other site and Justin emailed me the link here. Thanks for the compliments. Can't wait to see how Hellanor turn out!
Hi Tarafied, thanks for the kind words. I cant wait to see how it turns out either, hopefully this time next year it will be on the road.
It is a Fastback, but it was extremely rusty so it was easier to canabalise a good coupe to fix it than to buy all the dynacorn bits. In saying that it wouldnt be hard to convert a coupe to a FB, the only give away would be the VIN & the inner qtr panels & rear seat brackets.
I must say I like your E coupe, normaly I am not a fan of the coupes with the E kit, but yours looks tough. Must be the colour, look forward to seeing all your pics when you do a thread on it. Nice to see a septic brother on the Aussie forums as well. You will get used to the Aussie slang once you have been here a while
I thought about converting mine to a fastback but the roof is about the only thing I haven't replaced! I didn't want a Eleanor replica, I do love the look but since it wasn't a FB I didn't think it would be as cool. It's a Dodge color called flame red. When I was trying to pick the color, my painter said go look at cars and see what you like rather than pictures. I pass a Dodge dealership near my home and the red was on a Dodge Ram truck but it just jumped out at me!
It will be awhile before I get all the lingo but it's fun to read the posts!
It can continue to be jealous. It doesn't pay the bills. Should get back into it shortly, I am still weighing up how stupid to go in a few areas. My biggest problem is not taking my own advice on making a plan & sticking to it. To many ideas & not enough time & money.
