Sorry mate, I am busy with Q, trying to figure out where all this spare stuff goes.... Read the Manual

That's all fine by me mate haha

Ok here is the plan. Everyone at in the morning to clean the shed so we can fit the spare stuff. Then onto the house to clean the windows. Then we can eat something and finally we can clean up before we cruise to the fish and chip shop.

Sound good?

Q's doors got blasted today, 1/4 panels will get glued on tomorrow, welding of 1/4's finished on Monday.

Gary (mustangpanels) will drop by in the morning to give me a hand with them & to learn a bit (according to him). He obviously did not pay attention in class... Shocked

By the sound of it you'll be working 20hrs a day when you arrive at the ranch, and be going back home for a rest.

Lee, you were probably wondering what this pic was about....

That is the door that was made in May of 1968 (remember the paper tag?) & that thread you can see sticking through the nut in the top center is where the skin reinforcement was bolted to the rear of the door.

That idea never made production as by August 68 (start of the 69 model run) it was resistance spot welded. I will reproduce that on both doors on Q. I had always wondered why that hole was there in the door at that spot, now I know, to access the head of the bolt with the socket.

Another interesting side tidbit of Q is that a lot of panels & assemblies have no date codes on them. Car was stamped so early in the process (most of it "pre-production") that they only had paper tags, most of which are now long gone. They were all engineering sign off tags like this one.....

.....or a cardboard tag with wire hanging from the part, like the one we found in the RH door.

Is that some sort of primer already on them or is that the texture left from sand blasting?
