Hey guys,

Do any of you know of a space saver wheel that'll work for Q. I know that the overall diameter should be the same but not sure on back spacing. Fingers crossed that there is a particular make and model that is known to fit which would make it easy to find.

The full size polyglas wheel leaves pretty much zero room behind the trap door which is causing me problems with the new doof doof speakers.

I use a BA BF Spacesaver Cost me $80. Fit's fine and I don't care about the diameter, it's only to get you out of trouble.

Nuts I was thinking about the limited slip diff but after thinking a little harder I could just swap a front tyre to the rear in the event of a rear puncture.

Plenty options around.
S4 RX7 also fit, as does 5 stud mx5.
Toyota also have a few offerings that should fit, maybe pinto-Pete could advise ???

Of course nassi, I should have thought of a concours space saver to match the concourse doof doof setup :rotfl: Geezus I'd imagine you'd be worse off putting that thing on the car in the event of a flat...I'd rather drive on the magnum 500 rim with sparks a blazin'!!

Is it true that it wouldn't take long for different tyre sizes to damage a limited slip diff?

Yes, but it depends on the design of the centre really.

Different diameter tyres will force the diff to slip even in a straight line, as opposed to only when going around corners.

Having said that... I wonder how many peoples spares have a different tyre on them anyway?

Does it work out to be the same diameter though?
When I say different tyre, I mean same wheel, but different width/profile. ie - not matched.

Yes they are pretty close. Not so sure about the space savers though, I will check the Audi when I think of it.

I think as long as you just use it to get out of trouble it should be fine

No issues with Doof room and doesn't affect your LSD... Snigger

And the concourse boys won't even notice it.

Yeh that tyre goo doesn't help you if you have a damage the tyre or rim though!

Would a car with these standard specs most likely work?
5x114.5 PDC
67.1 CB
44 Offset
Nut lug 12x1,50
Kerb weight 1400kg
