Hey Guys

Just wondering how you stick your seals to the door and trunk while you are doing panel alignment before paint. I was mucking around with mine on the weekend and just taped the seals in place but found it didn't really hold them in the correct location or orientation. Is there a better way to just temporarily stick them on before they have to be removed for paint? Or is near enough good enough at this stage?

You have to glue them on. Then remove them carefully when its time to paint.

I thought that might be the case. Do you just use the same glue as when you are doing it for real or a less sticky alternative?

Would you recommend not cleaning the seals before gluing them on for the trial fit so they are easier to remove or once they have glue on them is it a pain in the ass to do the thinners clean to release the anti mold agents?

Just do everything the same as if they were staying there. If they don't stay there for months they aren't hard to get back off & reuse.

OK hopefully the last Q on this topic but what should I clean the seals with before install? I was going to just use thinners but now not sure if it is appropriate. I also have wax and grease remover if that is more suitable. Any tips Embarrassed

Thinners should be fine for the job.
