That's approximately 450 - 470 crank HP. NICE!!!!!.

In fact you should get into the mid to low 11 sec 1/4 with some practice and effort in the set up.

More than enough performance to get yourself into a lot of trouble.

I will someday think of something clever to say.

I am happy although I am confident some 1 3/4" long tubes and a mandrel bent twin 2.5" system the number would be much closer to 400 rwhp.

I agree the exhaust is holding it back a little though that torque curve is very impressive. Very flat.

Project Complete @ 381rwhp. All ready for Apocalaps this Sunday at RAC driver training centre with 4 days to spare.

Thanks to Danny @ Performance Mods for machine work, Nicole @ Fordstrokers for parts from US, Peter @ VPW for local parts, Wayne @ Performance Carb Tuning, mates Steve, Tony and my Dad and various forum contributors along the way for parts selection and advice (Boof, Shaunp, nassi etc etc).

Hopefully there are a few more home built 347 projects on the go now!

Regards,
Trav

Looking good Trav, can't wait to hear it in person. I'll see you there on Sunday, but I'll be in a C10 this time. Mustang still not finished:(

My mate will be there in his GT350 with a 347 also. Good variety of cars this time and there's a Factory Five Daytona coupe going also. Should be interesting.

Surely that torque figure of 680Nm isnt correct. Must be increased through the driveline because the engine wouldnt be producing that.

Cheers, Tony.

That torque figure is not directly comparable to torque figures published in car literature. Not apples with apples Tony.

Yeah thats what i thought. Generally speaking it is very difficult to get more than 100Nm/litre out of an engine without forced induction.

Cheers, Tony.
